Dr. Jennifer Saam
Originally from upstate New York, Dr. Saam graduated first in her class at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine in Philadelphia, and went on to complete an additional three years of specialty residency training at Swedish Medical Center in Foot and Ankle Reconstructive Surgery. Special interests include sports medicine, biomechanics, pediatric foot problems, and bunion surgery.
Through years of competitive running and nordic skiing, Dr. Saam has first-hand knowledge of the aches and pains experienced by athletes. She has completed ten marathons (including three Boston Marathons), numerous half-marathons and 10Ks, and is a running member of Club Northwest. She traveled to the USATF cross-country club national race in December 2021 as part of the women’s “40’s” cross-country team, where they placed third at nationals! During the winter she is an avid cross-country skier and has completed six “Birkies“, and is one of the few athletes who has the honor of doing “Birkie to Boston” twice, which is when you do both the American Birkebeiner cross-country ski marathon and the Boston Marathon in one season.
Dr. Saam and her husband and three school-aged children live on the Eastside and enjoy getting outdoors as much as possible. In addition to spending time with family, she also enjoys running, skiing, travel, and coffee shops.
